Can I accept bookings in other areas while travelling?

Rover gives you the option to set a service area based on your current location for travelling services (house sitting, drop-ins, and walks). This makes it easy to continue offering services in a different area while travelling. 

Here’s how to update your service area:

Rover app

  1. Tape the More menu, then tap Profile.
  2. Select the pencil icon, then choose the service you want to update. 
  3. Scroll down to Service Area and set your new service location by dragging the pin within the map, or by manually entering the address of your location. 
  4. Deselect Use my home address by tapping the toggle icon to the left.
  5. Set the miles in the Service Radius field to choose how far you’re willing to travel (up to 100 miles).
  6. Tap Save.

Web

  1. While signed in, select your name at the top of the page, then select Profile from the dropdown menu.
  2. Choose the service you want to update.
  3. Scroll down to Service Area and set your new service location by dragging the pin within the map, or by manually entering the address of your location. 
  4. Deselect Use my home address by tapping the toggle icon to the left.
  5. Set the miles in the Service Radius field to choose how far you’re willing to travel (up to 100 miles).
  6. Tap Save.

You can also temporarily change your address on your Rover profile. Here's how:

  1. Click here to navigate to your profile management page.

2. Edit your address. Then, scroll down and select Save & Continue

Important: Don't forget to update your address once you return to your home city!
